Justification
A rare habitat specialist. Its sheltered cliff habitat lends this species protection from urban development, agriculture, overgrazing, and too frequent fire, the main causes of habitat destruction within its range.

Description
South aspect faces of Natal Group sandstone cliffs. 600-900m.
Threats
This species' range is severely affected by alien plant invasion, urban development, too frequent fire, agriculture and forestry. However, it occurs on a sheltered cliff habitat where it is unlikely to be affected by these threats (C.R. Scott-Shaw pers. comm.).
