A range-restricted species (EOO 6421 km²), found to be more widespread and common than previously thought, and not threatened.

Eastern arid foothills of the Cederberg to the edge of the Roggeveld Escarpment south of Middelpos, and southwards to the Swartruggens Mountains and the Tanqua Karoo.

Population

This species was thought to be very rare, but recent collections indicate that it occurs over a wide area, and in many more locations than previously known.
