Justification
EOO 573 km², between five and nine locations remain in two disjunct areas. The subpopulation on the Cape Peninsula is protected and not threatened, but between Die Kelders and Pearly Beach subpopulations are declining due to ongoing habitat loss to coastal development and competition from alien invasive plants.

Description
Small sandy pockets in the tertiary limestone which overlies sandstones along coastal cliffs.
Threats
Habitat loss to coastal development is currently the most serious threat to this species, particularly between De Kelders and Pearly Beach. Most subpopulations between Stanford and Hagelkraal are also threatened by competition from alien invasive plants. The subpopulation on the Cape Peninsula is within a protected area and is not threatened.
