Justification | This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 15 600 km², and approximately 20 known locations continue to decline due to ongoing habitat loss to Rooibos tea cultivation. It almost qualifies for listing as Vulnerable under criterion B and is therefore assessed as Near Threatened. |

Threats |
This species is threatened by agricultural activities. Rooibos tea, wheat, and citrus cultivation is known to occur at Reeudlinghuis, Herenlongenment, and around Clanwilliam. Invasive alien species have been reported around Burgerpost. |
