Major habitats
South Outeniqua Sandstone Fynbos, North Outeniqua Sandstone Fynbos
Description
Unknown, probably sandstone fynbos.
Threats
Agathosma rehmanniana is possibly extinct due to habitat loss to timber plantations on the lower southern slopes of the Outeniqua Pass, or agriculture on the lower northern slopes. On the upper slopes it is likely to be threatened by competition from alien invasive species, particularly unmanaged escaped pine seedlings.
Population

Agathosma rehmanniana is only known from the type, collected in 1880. The population trend is not known, and field surveys to relocate this species in the wild has thus far been unsuccessful. As the locality description on the type specimen is imprecise, it is difficult to infer whether this species is extinct or not, as the full range of possible habitat has not yet been explored.
