Justification
Agathosma subteretifolia is a rare, range-restricted species with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 48 km². It is poorly known, but is not suspected to be in danger of extinction.

This species is endemic to a small area in the Koo Valley west of Montagu in the Western Cape.

Description
It occurs near streams on shale slopes with fynbos and renosterveld.
Threats
While the alluvial plain of the Koo Valley is intensively cultivated, the mountain slopes above appear to have no significant impacts. Field surveys are however needed to confirm the condition of the habitat.
Population

Agathosma subteretifolia is a rare and poorly known species, last recorded in the wild in 1980. It is possibly overlooked, rather than threatened. Field surveys are needed to relocate it in the wild.
