Threats
This taxon may have lost habitat to crop cultivation in the past, but agricultural expansion has largely ceased and is no longer a severe threat. Most of this taxon's remaining habitat is protected within the Agulhas National Park. Most of its habitat however remains densely infested with alien invasive plants, and although alien plants are managed, it has caused such severe habitat degradation that extensive rehabilitation is still needed.
