Description
Dry shallow quartzite soils on Table Mountain Sandstone series, 600-1200 m.
Threats
Some subpopulations have declined due to livestock overgrazing (J. Vlok pers. comm. 2007). Two subpopulations are also threatened by too frequent fires.
Population

There are less than 10 subpopulations known and two are very small, consisting of less than 10 and less than 20 individuals respectively.
