Justification
EOO 516 km², AOO<500 km², four to five locations remain after extensive habitat loss to urban expansion, wheat and vineyard cultivation and alien acacia invasion. This formerly common and widespread species continues to decline.

Description
Acid sands.
Threats
Urban expansion is a threat as many subpopulations have been lost to the Northern suburbs of Cape Town since 1970. Agriculture severe past threat > 40 % of range lost to agriculture. Alien plant infestation: All remaining natural fragments within this species range are severely infested by alien acacias, the deep sandy soils preferred by this species are the habitat most invaded by Acacias.
