EOO 680 km², six severely fragmented subpopulations continue to decline due to alien acacia invasion and habitat loss to crop cultivation.

Description
Ferricrete outcrops in very shallow soils.
Threats
Extensive past and moderate ongoing loss of habitat to crop cultivation. Invasive alien plants are a severe ongoing threat at all locations (Acacia cyclops). This species is also very palatable and may be declining due to livestock overgrazing.
