EOO 2000 km². Occurs in deep ravines and river gorges where it is relatively safe from the main threats to Pondoland forests (too frequent and intense grassland fires and wood harvesting).

Description
Pondoland scarp forest, sometimes among rocks on river banks, Msikaba Formation Sandstone, 10-500 m.
Threats
R. domatiosa is found deep within ravines and river gorges where it is relatively safe from the main threats to Pondoland forests (too frequent and intense grassland fires and wood harvesting) which impact on forest margins (T. Abbott and D. Styles pers. comm.).
