A population reduction of nearly 30% is projected to be reached within the next 50 years, as this species has already lost 25% of its habitat to crop cultivation, urban expansion and alien plant invasion in the past 100 years (generation length 50 years). EOO 1400 km², AOO <1400 km², 15 remaining locations continue to decline.

Description
Lower to mid slopes on shale or sandstone.
Threats
At least 25% of this species' habitat is already lost, mainly to wheat, vineyards and wildflower growing for the cut flower industry, and loss is continuing. Other threats include habitat loss to coastal development around Hermanus and competition from alien invasive plants.
