Justification
A range-restricted (EOO 1078 km²), but fairly common species estimated to occur at between 10 and 20 locations. It is however a slow-growing reseeder and is declining due to too frequent fires in the Wuppertal and Clanwilliam areas.

Description
Arid fynbos amongst boulders in deep sandy soils, 1600-1800 m.
Threats
