EOO estimated at 3800 km² and known from less than 10 locations. On the northern and southern ends of its range it is declining due to urban expansion and habitat degradation from livestock overgrazing.

Description
Grassland and open woodland.
Threats
Threatened by ongoing urban expansion on the outskirts of Polokwane and Louis Trichardt. Large areas to the north of Polokwane are severely degraded as a result of livestock overgrazing, firewood harvesting and expanding human settlements.
