Threats
This species is threatened by severe, ongoing habitat destruction and degradation due to open-cast mining across its range in South Africa and Namibia.
Population

A rare and very poorly known species, known from only a few collections in South Africa and Namibia, but possibly under sampled due to access restrictions to diamond mining areas. It is likely to be declining across its range due to ongoing habitat loss an degradation.
