About 35% of this species' habitat has been lost or degraded due to open cast mining of dunes. Loss continues, but at a very low rate (<5% in 24 years). |
Population |
This species is very common on the coastal dunes between Port Nolloth and Alexander Bay. It is also widespread and common along the coast of Namibia, where its habitat is well protected.
