Justification
A range-restricted (EOO 245 km²) but locally common Piketberg endemic that is declining due to ongoing habitat loss to crop cultivation. A population reduction of 20% is estimated to have already occurred based on recent habitat loss (past 15 years) and ongoing habitat loss is likely to lead to a further 10% population reduction in the next 10 years (generation length 10-15 years).

Population

A range-restricted, but locally relatively common species. A small proportion of the population has recently declined due to agricultural expansion, and is expected to continue to decline due to sporadic habitat loss to agriculture, however, only about 10% of the remaining habitat is estimated to be arable.
