Threats
This species' habitat was formerly densely infested with alien invasive plants, particularly on the southern Cape Peninsula, but there has been efforts to clear invasive plants within the Table Mountain National Park. Ongoing management and clearing of invasive species is needed to prevent reinvasions. Historically it has lost habitat to urban expansion, but since most of its habitat is now protected, habitat loss is no longer a significant threat.
