Description
Lowland fynbos on transition soils between shale and limestone, 90 m.
Threats
This species is likely to have lost the majority of its habitat to crop cultivation in the past, but agriculture is no longer significantly expanding in the area. A subpopulation on the outskirts of Bredasdorp is threatened by infrastructure development and habitat loss to quarrying. A small subpopulation found in 2008 is threatened by severe overgrazing due to overstocking of fynbos remnants with livestock. A third subpopulation at an air force base may have lost some habitat to infrastructure development in the past, but its habitat is currently protected. Spreading, unmanaged alien invasive wattles is a threat across this species' habitat.
