Justification | EOO 798 km², AOO<798 km², the habitat of this subspecies continue to decline due to alien plant invasion, quarrying and expanding protea and vineyard cultivation, but more than 10 locations remain at present. |

Description | Low fynbos, on the flats in sandy soil among stones and rocks. On top of Elim Hill and Heuningberg it is locally common and grows in sandstone rock fissures. |
Threats |
The general habitat of this species is declining due to alien plant invasion, quarrying, and expanding protea and vineyard cultivation (N.A. Helme pers. comm.), but this subspecies is still fairly common in spite of its restricted range. |
