Description
Muddy flats and edges of pans.
Threats
Subpopulations outside protected areas are possibly threatened by habitat degradation due to overstocking of livestock, subsistence agriculture and expanding settlements and other infrastructure development.
Population

This species is known from only a few collections, but is also cryptic and easily overlooked. All records are from protected areas, and wetland systems on the Maputaland coastal plain are fairly well protected.
