Range
Southern Cape mountains from the Hex River Mountains eastwards to the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Lesotho and eastern Free State Drakensberg and northwards as far as Vryheid. This species also occurs in montane areas across eastern Africa and as far as Asia, Japan and Taiwan.
