Justification | Widespread (EOO 30 000 km²). Expert opinion is that it that it is likely affected by medicinal harvesting given the popularity of the other Eucomis spp. in the markets. The extent of decline is not known, but it is suspected to be unlikely to exceed 20%. |

| Not targeted specifically, but may be harvested incidentally for medicinal purposes. No medicinal uses recorded. The participants of the Medicinal Plant Red List Workshop (14-15/01/2008, SANBI, Durban) felt, however, that it was most likely affected by medicinal harvesting and declining (given the popularity of the other Eucomis spp in the markets ) and should be assessed as Declining. |
