Justification
A range-restricted species (EOO 525 km²), known from eight locations. In the 1950s, 13% of its dolerite vertisol clay habitat was ploughed for wheat. This habitat is not currently targeted for agriculture but this species remains potentially threatened by future crop cultivation and overgrazing.

Northern Cape
Range
Bokkeveld Escarpment and Western Karoo.
