Description
It grows in deep red gravelly sand, calcrete flats and at the base of hills.
Threats
Lachenalia inconspicua is not threatened (Duncan 2012).
Population

This species is locally common. It occurs as scattered individuals or in small clumps in suitable habitat (Duncan 2012). There are no severe threats to this species and therefore the population is not suspected to be declining.
