Range
This widespread species has a disjunct distribution in the Western and Northern Cape Provinces, where it occurs on the Roggeveld Escarpment, in the Little Karoo between the Hex River Pass and Montagu, and also near Riversdale in the Overberg.

Description
It occurs in seasonally moist, gravelly soils between granite boulders and on rock ledges.
