Justification
Lachenalia duncanii is a recently described species known from one population at Kliprand in south-western Bushmanland. It is potentially threatened by road works. It has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of less than 1 km² and is therefore listed as Vulnerable under criterion D.

Range
This species is endemic to South Africa, and is found in Kliprand.

Description
It occurs in stony, deep red sand among low succulent shrubs in Namaqualand Klipkoppe Shrubland.
Threats
There are no threats to Lachenalia duncanii, except possibly the road being widened, but there are no plans to do this. The population occurs next to a major district road, which, if widened, would seriously deplete numbers.
Population

A few scattered individuals occur within an area no larger than 10 m². This species may well occur elsewhere within this poorly botanised region (Duncan 2012), but has not yet been found anywhere else since it was first recorded in 1985.
