Lachenalia isopetala has no severe threats (Duncan 2012). A small proportion of the population has been lost to crop cultivation on the Bokkeveld Escarpment, but agriculture is no longer expanding and the threat has ceased. |
Population |
Plants of this species occur singly or in small groups, and sometimes form large colonies of scattered plants (Duncan 2012). It is known from 13 locations, but quite likely more common than records suggest. As there are no severe threats to this species the population is not suspected to be declining.
