Description
It occurs in clay or sands, on quartzite flats and rocky outcrops or river banks.
Population

Plants occur in large colonies, and is common around Bitterfontein, Vredendal and Vanrhynsdorp. As there are no known severe threats, the population is not suspected to be declining.
