Justification
There are over 10 collection localities reflected in herbarium collections, a few of which indicate that it is common. This species has been found to be more widespread than previously stated, extending further than Laingsburg as originally listed by Tolken, a number of additional subpopulations have been found by Bayer and Bruyns over the past 10 years.
