An unusual form which is in several characters intermediate between the typical A. umbraticola and A. schuldtianus, but because it is known from so few collections its real position cannot be evaluated fully. It is therefore listed as Data Deficient - Taxonomically Problematic (DDT).

Threats
Roadworks are a past threat at Wylie's Poort but it currently has no significant threats.
