Justification
Crassula vestita is a rare and localized habitat specialist, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 1593 km². It has no severe threats and is therefore not suspected to be in danger of extinction.

Range
This species is endemic to South Africa, and occurs on the Roggeveld Escarpment around Sutherland in the Northern Cape, extending to the western edge of the Nuweveld Mountains.

Description
It occurs sheltered among low shrubs in rocky outcrops in renosterveld and succulent karoo.
Threats
Crassula vestita has no severe threats. In the immediate vicinity of Sutherland, it is potentially threatened by habitat loss to development (N.A. Helme pers. obs.), but the majority of subpopulations are not threatened.
Population

This species is uncommon. Subpopulations are localized, and consist of scattered plants in rock outcrops. As it has no severe threats, the population is not suspected to be declining.
