Threats
Overgrazing due to overstocking of rangelands is causing habitat degradation across most of this species' range. In spite of habitat degradation, it is still fairly common, and is possibly resilient to grazing pressure - specimen notes indicate that it is not heavily grazed. Some subpopulations are threatened by habitat loss to mining, but this affects only a small proportion of the population.
