Description
Plants grow in open grassland on coastal dunes and streambanks and forest margins on the Lebombo Mountains.
Threats
There is severe, ongoing degradation of natural vegetation on the Maputaland coastal flats due to expanding rural settlements and agriculture. This species has been recorded from disturbed places such as roadsides, but field surveys are needed to confirm its persistence within densely populated areas.

A common species that is somewhat resilient to disturbance.
