Justification | A Cape Peninsula endemic (EOO 540 km², AOO <540 km²) now restricted to between five and 10 remaining subpopulations. A number of historical locations have been lost to urban expansion of the city of Cape Town. Remaining subpopulations are concentrated on the southern Cape Peninsula and are threatened by alien plant invasion. |

Threats |
Urban development has been a severe past threat at historic localities from Hout Bay, Lions Head and Camps Bay which are likely to have been lost to development.
All remaining localities of this species are threatened to some extent by invasive alien plants which particularly thrive in seasonally damp areas the habitat of this species. |
