Justification
A localized habitat specialist (EOO 114 km², AOO <20 km²), known from three locations and potentially threatened by habitat loss to mining.

Description
Saline quartz patches on the dry slopes of koppies.
Threats
There is renewed mining pressure on the Knersvlakte, and a number of mining applications are currently under review (N.A. Helme pers. comm.). One known location is adjacent to a disused mine, but this area is now formally protected. Subpopulations on neighbouring properties are however still vulnerable to habitat loss to mining.
