Justification
A range-restricted (EOO 3034 km²), but locally common species. Some subpopulations within the Breede River Valley are threatened by habitat loss to agricultural expansion and development, but most subpopulations occur on arid rocky slopes unsuitable to cultivation, and this species is not in danger of extinction.

Description
Lower, dry rocky shale slopes, occasionally on sandy alluvial flats.
Threats
Although some of this species' habitat has been lost to agricultural expansion (mainly vineyards and fruit orchards), the majority of subpopulations occur on dry rocky slopes unsuitable to cultivation.
Population

This species has a restricted range, but is locally abundant within suitable habitat.
