Justification
Herbarium specimens indicate that this species was once common on the Cape Flats and the West Coast, but most historical locations have been lost to urban expansion and wheat cultivation. Current EOO 8000 km², six remaining locations continue to decline due to ongoing habitat loss to urban development, alien plant invasion and vineyards.
