A rare and localized species (EOO 565 km²), currently known from only three locations and declining due to ongoing habitat loss to crop cultivation.

Description
West Coast Sandveld, in calcareous soils below 120 m.
Threats
Threatened in the southern part of its range by ongoing habitat loss to crop cultivation. A subpopulation further north is potentially threatened by habitat loss to mining.
Population

This rare species remains known from only four collections from three locations. It is possibly overlooked, as it occurs in a relatively poorly surveyed area.
