Justification
Until recently this species was only known from three collections from the Riversdale area and was thought possibly extinct, as all known sites were surveyed repeatedly in the last 20 years but no plants could be located. However, a small subpopulation was discovered in the lower Breede River Valley in August 2008. Current EOO and AOO <5 km², the subpopulation at the only known location is likely to continue declining due to overgrazing by livestock.
