Justification
Known from five small, severely fragmented subpopulations (EOO 11 000 km²). Declining as a result of grassland conversion to agricultural crops and commercial forestry plantations and ongoing degradation due to overgrazing and trampling by livestock.

Description
Mistbelt and coastal scarp grasslands.
Threats
Sugar cane, pine plantations, overgrazing and trampling by livestock are causing an ongoing decline to a number of subpopulations. A subpopulation on the Noodsberg in particular is severely threatened, there is a possibility that this subpopulation may be extinct as most remaining natural habitat is totally transformed.
