Justification
EOO 3500 km², three known locations remain after much of the habitat has been lost to crop cultivation. Subpopulations on the Outeniqua Mountains near Herold are declining due to dense alien Hakea sericea invasion of the habitat.

Description
Fynbos on deep loamy soils.
Threats
Agriculture was a past threat. The Outeniqua Mountains close to Herold where this species is found are densely invaded by Hakea sericea which is causing ongoing degradation to this species' habitat (J. Vlok pers comm 2006).
