Justification
Although this plant is common on damp, south-facing, middle and upper slopes on the Perdeberg and above Garcia State Forest plantation it occurs in a very restricted area (EOO 138 km²). Furthermore, it has potentially lost one historical location as a result of agriculture, and is subject to an ongoing threat from forestry plantations, invasive alien pines and the invasive alien Acacia mearnsii at lower altitudes.
