Population

This species is known from a single kloof in the Riviersonderend Mountains near the town of Riviersonderend. The population was monitored in the 1970s, when it was noted that the site was becoming densely infested with alien invasive pines. A search in 1995 failed to locate the population, and it has not been seen since. Searches are urgently needed to determine whether this species survives in the wild or not.
