Justification
Five locations remain on small habitat fragments after most of this species' habitat has been transformed for the cultivation of wheat and vineyards. AOO<20 km², and available habitat continue to decline due to urban development, alien plant invasion and crop cultivation. One subpopulation at Gordon's Bay was lost in 2004 when a site was illegally cleared for a housing development.

Description
Seasonally wet flats in renosterveld.
Threats
Agriculture and housing developments are severe past and present threats to this species, two subpopulations have been lost in the past 20 years due to these threats. Alien invasion is a serious threat at Joostenberg, Rietfontein and Milnerton.
