Threats |
| This species is severely threatened in the northern parts of its range by rapid, ongoing habitat loss to potato cultivation. On the coast, it is threatened by habitat loss to coastal development on the Vredenburg Peninsula and southwards to Melkbosstrand. Inland subpopulations in the southern parts of its range are predominantly threatened by competition from dense, unmanaged infestations of alien invasive plants, but also urban and industrial expansion. |
