Justification | A rare and poorly known species. Rhinephyllum is in need of taxonomic revision, and species are difficult to separate. Klak in Manning and Goldblatt (2012), Snijman (2013) indicates that it is possibly insufficiently distinct from Rhinephyllum pillansii to warrant recognition as a separate taxon. It is therefore listed as Data Deficient - Taxonomically Problematic (DDT). |
