Description

Threats
Subpopulations in the Swartland and on the Cape Flats have been fragmented and isolated due to historical land transformation for agriculture. Hebenstretia fastigiosa prefers a micro-habitat that is unsuited to cultivation, and therefore it is not suspected to have declined significantly due to habitat loss to agriculture. Some subpopulation around Cape Town are threatened by habitat loss to urban expansion, but this affects only a small part of the population.
