A range-restricted (EOO <10 km²) and still relatively poorly known species. It is possibly more widespread and common, and is not threatened.

Description
Shaded cracks and crevices in gneiss outcrops.
Threats
There are no known significant past, ongoing or future threats that are likely to lead to this species' extinction.
Population

This species is known from two large subpopulations, about 4 km apart, and each numbering several hundred plants. It is likely to be overlooked and more common than records suggest, as its habitat remains poorly explored. The population is estimated to be larger than 1000 mature individuals, and is not declining at present.
