Justification | The overall range of this species is very limited, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of only 20 km². It is known from only one location, where the population is in decline due to infrastructure development, illegal collecting for the specialist succulent horticulture trade, and trampling and grazing by goats. Therefore, it qualifies for listing as Critically Endangered under criterion B. |

Threats |
This species is threatened by habitat loss due to road extensions, which were deemed sporadic events. Illegal collection has been observed in recent years and is ongoing due to the ease of access to this location (C. Klak). Another threat to the persistence of this species is habitat degradation resulting from grazing and trampling by goats. |
Population |
This species, known only from one subpopulation, is in decline due to illegal collection and habitat degradation, with about 1500 plants of this species counted in 2021.
